Samples of Dirt

My mom, my sister and I went to a place with lots of dirt. We dug up some samples. The dirt smells kind of salty. And it has lots of rocks in it. It looks moist, black, and brown. When you pick it up and look at it real close it is as big as a speck of dust. The dirt feels hard when you rub it against your skin. I tasted it and it tastes like sand. I do not like the taste of sand!
